Northern Quick Chip Auto Glass was built on a simple idea: getting your windshield fixed shouldn't cost you a day off work or a fight with your insurer. We bring a fully equipped shop to your driveway, install OEM-equivalent glass to factory safety standards, recalibrate your safety cameras, and deal with the insurance company so you don't have to.
For more than 30 years, the workmanship standard has been the same: every windshield we install, every chip we fill, every side or rear pane we replace is backed in writing by a lifetime workmanship warranty against leaks, wind noise, and defects for as long as you own the vehicle. That's why a chip repair from our team in 2002 and a windshield replacement with ADAS calibration from us in 2026 are covered by the same promise.
Today the business runs as a mobile-first operation, serving London plus 50+ communities across Southwestern Ontario inside a 50 km service radius. The mobile model, in detail
Mobile auto glass is more than calling a van. It's a different way of running the operation. Three things make our mobile model work the way it does:
Fully stocked dispatch. Each van carries OEM-equivalent glass for the most common models in our area, premium urethane meeting the FMVSS 212 safety standard, the ADAS calibration target board and diagnostic tool for forward-camera recalibration on newer vehicles, optical-grade resin and UV cure equipment for chip repair, and the full clean-up kit for glass-cube debris from tempered-glass break-ins. The van isn't a stripped-down shop. It's the whole shop.
Routing built around our service area. The 50+ communities we cover group into clear corridors: west toward Strathroy and Sarnia along the 402, north along Highway 4 through Lucan, east along the 401 through Dorchester, Ingersoll, and Woodstock, and south through the Elgin and Oxford County roads. Dispatch is built around those corridors so the dispatch cost stays inside the price of the service. That's why there's no travel fee inside our radius.
End-to-end insurance handling. Most Ontario drivers don't enjoy the claims process. We file the comprehensive claim on your behalf, bill the insurer directly, and absorb your deductible up to 100%. Most replacements come out to zero out of pocket. If something does need to come back to you, you'll know before we start the work, not after.
What goes into every job
The two things every windshield needs to do are stay clear and stay attached. We spend a lot of time on the second one. The urethane bond between the windshield and the vehicle frame holds roughly 30% of the structural strength of the roof in a rollover, and it's part of how the passenger-side airbag deploys correctly in a frontal collision. Cheap urethane and rushed pinch-weld prep are the two corners we don't cut.
The glass we install is OEM-equivalent, the same DOT specification as your vehicle's original windshield: same thickness, same optical clarity, same acoustic and solar properties. The pinch-weld is cleaned, primed, and treated for any corrosion before the new urethane bead goes down. ADAS calibration is performed and documented on every camera-equipped vehicle. The safe drive-away time is non-negotiable; we don't leave until the vehicle hits its cure window.
Every job, mobile or otherwise, ends the same way: a lifetime workmanship warranty in writing, against leaks, wind noise, and defects, for as long as you own the vehicle. If anything's wrong, we come back.

Do you do walk-in work, or only mobile? +
Almost everything happens at your location. The mobile vans carry the same glass, urethane, and ADAS calibration equipment as a fixed shop, so the driveway, parking lot, or job site becomes the workspace. We've found that's faster for the customer than booking a half day at a shop.
What kind of glass do you install? +
OEM-equivalent glass, meaning the same DOT specification, thickness, optical clarity, and acoustic/solar properties as the glass your vehicle was built with. The urethane meets FMVSS 212, the safety standard that keeps the windshield in place in a frontal collision or rollover.
Does insurance really cover the full cost? +
For most drivers in Ontario with comprehensive coverage, yes. A glass claim does not normally raise your premium in this province. We cover up to 100% of your deductible, file the claim end to end, and bill the insurer directly. Most replacements come out to zero out of pocket.
